Shadorma Tuesday

4:20a.m. What better time to write my first Shadorma.

Breaking Up With Not My Boyfriend

It’s over
Now I won’t get to
See his blue
Eyes sparkle
Or leave purple love bites on
The crook of his neck

He’s so mad
Said he’s done with me
He’ll never
Talk to me
Then blocked my cell phone number
Always stonewalling

Well, you know
I’m quick to temper
So I said
“Screw you, too!”
Middle finger emoji
Then sent five emails

How does he
Switch from blazing red
To ice blue
That quickly?
Feels like my love means nothing
So hurt I react

It’s always
My fault in his eyes
Sees complex
Emotions
Like a personal attack
Can’t discuss feelings

What if I
Try harder next time
To balance
The feedback
Say how much he means to me
I’m not sure he knows

I still see
The same potential
That I saw
The whole time
I wish it didn’t have to
End badly like this

  5. You’ve told a story with this shadorma sequence. It’s a stunner too. I like how your words flowed from one shadorma to the next. πŸ’œ
