The Anna

Trees

Turned us into
Ancient damaged redwoods
Set us aflame during a drought
Fire resistance aged our youthful faces
My love for him still evergreen
Although he cut us down
The fall brings peace

You made it look (and read) as effortless! I love the photo of the burned redwood – it almost looks as if it were running away from the fire (burned by love)!
