Bright night
New hunter’s moon
Dreams of you chasing me
Like Jupiter followed Juno
For life
Coral
Reminds me of
Summer’s fire season
California horizon’s burnt
Year round
Heat wave
Mid-October
Our first kiss on the bridge
Blew my hot heart up like the moon
In love
Singing
Star light, star bright
First star I see tonight
I wish I may, I wish I might
Keep you
We were
Accidental
Stupendous nonetheless
Tragic we couldn’t see how to
Start fresh
Bright night
Reminds me of
Our first kiss on the bridge
I wish I may, I wish I might
Start fresh

Great use of form, and I love the way you use repetition and nursery rhyme.

I love the references to mythology and nursery rhyme, The use of colour in coral to evoke ‘Summer’s fire season’, the repetition, and especially the simile in lines:
‘Our first kiss on the bridge
Blew my hot heart up like the moon’.
